The term toolbox is commonplace in the world of education. Each person (e.g., child, educator, parent, etc.) has their own unique toolbox filled with experiences and supports to take on challenges as they arise. At Your Learning Toolbox, we seek to empower our clients to utilize and expand their toolbox of strategies to achieve greatness. Not one strategy helps all; as such, differentiation is not only paramount but celebrated.
We specialize in crafting individualized plans and supports to meet your individual needs. Tailoring traditional curricula and providing specialized supports to meet the differentiated needs of our clients is what we do best! We are trained professionals with extensive experience working with children who have varying learning, emotional and social needs.
Our mission can be summed up in the words of Dr. O. Ivar Lovaas:
"If they can't learn the way we teach, we teach the way they learn."
Step 1: Information Gathering
In order to understand your needs, we ask that those interested in our services complete an Introductory Questionnaire .
Step 2: Consultation Meeting
Once we gather information from the questionnaire, please schedule an Introductory Consultation Call. One of our members from the executive team will meet with you via Zoom or by phone to discuss the information from the questionnaire as well as get a deeper understanding of your needs. We will then collaborate to set goals and a plan of action.
Step 3: Plan of Action
Welcome to the YLT community! We pair each family with a tutor/consultant that best meets their needs and availability. Your YLT tutor/consultant will reach out for an initial meeting with the family either in person or on Zoom to build rapport and ensure a strong match.
Step 4: Consistent Sessions
Your YLT tutor/consultant will start working with your family on a consistent basis as outlined in your initial meetings. Watch your child skill build and grow in amazing ways to reach their full potential!
